07/30/08

By Flyers

The Frontenac Flyers Jr. C Hockey Club are pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Lalonde as their new Head Coach.

Rob has a strong hockey background both as a player and a coach.  For the past 5 seasons he has been affiliated with the Queen’s Women’s hockey program and brings with him a wealth of experience.

In addition, he has coached minor hockey at the rep level.  He has experience while in Europe having coached in the UK and Italy.  His teaching background provides him with excellent oral communication skills; an essential element in relating to players at practices and on the bench during games.  Rob understands the game not only defensively and offensively, but from a fitness perspective as well.

The team welcomes Rob and wishes him success for his inaugural 2008-09 season in Junior hockey.

UPDATE: The Kingston Whig Standard has published a story on the hiring of Rob, to read it, click here
